Late Fame

Willem Dafoe gives a tender performance as a once-celebrated poet, now nearly forgotten and working as a postman, who is given an unexpected glimpse of the life he might have had after a group of twentysomething admirers anoint him as a rediscovered genius. Dafoe is at his best alongside a wonderfully complementary performance from Greta Lee in this gentle rumination on art and authenticity.
