This ongoing series allows theater staff and members of the Ambler community to pick and present their favorite films to our engaged community of cinephiles. Our family-friendly screening of THE WIZ was selected and will be introduced by Shaykh Anwar Muhammad, Proprietor of The Black Reserve Bookstore and President of ASSIST of PA.

Ease on down the road with this iconic Motown reimagining of The Wizard of Oz. Diana Ross stars as Dorothy, a teacher from Harlem who is transported to the magical land of Oz. She tries to find her way home with the help of the Tinman, Lion, and Scarecrow. Featuring an unforgettable soundtrack produced by Quincy Jones and a legendary cast of all Black performers including Michael Jackson, Lena Horne, and Richard Pryor.
