Noir City Philadelphia 2026 -
The Full Story
Noir City Philadelphia at the Ambler Theater on November 13, 14, & 15.
We are delighted to announce that Noir City Philadelphia has moved to the classic 1928 Ambler Theater in Ambler, PA.  The Ambler is a Spanish Revival 1928 theater, which has been restored by our nonprofit community organization.  It’s the perfect place to see film noir on the big screen.
Eddie Muller in person!
Film Noir superstar Eddie Muller will join us in-person to introduce every film.  Eddie is the Film Noir Foundation Founder and the host of Noir Alley on Turner Classic Movies. He’s written numerous definitive books and articles about film noir and is justifiably known as The Czar of Noir. Eddie will be around all weekend to talk noir and to sign books, posters, and memorabilia.  The Film Noir Foundation will have a table in the lobby where you can buy Eddie’s books and FNF merch, as well as directly contribute to the Foundation.  Eddie will also host COCKTAILS WITH EDDIE and ASK EDDIE LIVE, two special events which should be great fun.
Face the Music - Nine Classic Film Noirs.
Of course, Noir City is all about the films and we’ll be screening nine classics. This year’s theme is “Face the Music” featuring movies about musicians who travel down the dark streets of film noir. See elegant gems like The Man I Love and Humoresque as well as hard bitten tales like Odds Against Tomorrow and Sweet Smell of Success.  Plus discover The Yellow Canary, the latest restoration by the Film Noir Foundation. All on the silver screen, where movies were meant to be seen.
Consult the full lineup, which is terrific from beginning to end.
Additional Guests.
We’ll be welcoming two additional guests to Noir City Philadelphia. The first is Imogen Sara Smith. She’s a celebrated writer, a Criterion Channel commentator, and the Editor of the FNF’s Noir City magazine. Imogen will be with us all weekend and she will be co-introducing a number of the feature films with Eddie.  If you’ve ever seen Eddie and Imogen talk film noir together, you know what a treat that is - two virtuosos trading masterful takes on films and filmmakers and Hollywood.  It’s beautiful music - perfect for this year’s theme.

We’re also delighted to have Hannah Jack be part of the festival.  Hannah will interview Eddie and Imogen for ASK EDDIE LIVE.  Hannah is a writer for Turner Classic Movies as well as the moderator of the Ambler’s Deep Focus Seminar Series.  She’s an expert on all-things-movies from Hollywood’s Golden Age and is an awesome speaker in her own right.
